Palm Coast Park Linear Park
SAI performed the design, permitting and construction phase services for this 6,000-acre
master planned community including a 135-acre linear park with multiple boardwalks and
wetland crossings as well as 15 miles of master utilities.
Myakka River Watershed Initiative
The Initiative is a comprehensive project for the SWFWMD addressing large-scale environmental
restoration, water quality, and flood control as well as alternative water supply objectives.
Extensive 2-D modeling of this riverine system is currently underway.
Royal Palms Parkway Extension
SAI designed, permitted and performed construction phase services for this 4,000 ft roadway
extension project in Palm Coast, FL that included utilities, multiple bridges, and canal
re-alignment.
Flatford Swamp Restoration and Adaptive Management
The SAI team evaluated the anthropogenic impacts to a 4.5 sq. mi. wetland, developed design
solutions to restore the historic hydroperiod of the system, and conducted a soil biogeochemical
study and restoration feasibility assessment.
Northwestern Avenue Bridge Area Erosion Countermeasures
SAI has extensive experience in the design and construction of gabion structures. A 21-ft high
gabion MSE retaining wall was designed to mitigate severe stream bank erosion along the Little
Wekiva River in Seminole County, FL.
Crane Strand Regional Stormwater Facility
SAI conducted an extensive siting evaluation and designed a regional stormwater facility to reduce
pollutant loads to the Crane Strand Canal and Little Econlockhatchee River.
Howell Creek Erosion Countermeasures
Push-in sheet pile installation technology was used to address stream bank erosion within the storm
battered Howell Creek system in Seminole County , FL.
Town Center at Palm Coast Medical Office Building
SAI conducted the horizontal infrastructure design and permitting for the Medical Center within the Town
Center at Palm Coast.
Northwestern Avenue Bridge Area Erosion Countermeasures
Along the Little Wekiva River, severe stream erosion was undermining a local sanitary sewer system and
threatening the integrity of nearby structures. The SAI team addressed the problems while protecting the
natural systems of the area and garnering support from the local community.
